Ita Maude Wooller creates works that operate as visual essays between the material and the psychological, the personal and the universal. Working across painting, sculpture and installation, she investigates the systems through which the world is perceived, constructed and understood, exploring how perception, memory, architecture and the body inform the interior and exterior realities we create. Through recurring motifs and spatial metaphors, her work examines the invisible forces that shape human experience and leave enduring traces within both material and psychological space.
